I am constantly being harassed by creditors due to my inability to make payments. I had a meeting with an attorney to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy yesterday. The attorney told me to tell them to deal with him regarding my matters. All my creditors ask me 2 questions: 1) Which bankruptcy am I filing and 2) Have I paid the $200 court fee yet. Should I have told them anything? If i did, is this bad?

If you have hired a bankruptcy attorney, then all you need to do is tell the creditors that you have hired a bankruptcy attorney, then tell them your bankruptcy attorney's name and phone number. It is not bad if you told them anything else, but that's all they need to know. If they ask you what type of bankruptcy you've filed, repeat yourself. If they ask you if you've paid the $200 court fee, repeat yourself. If they pester you about anything else, simply repeat yourself until they get the message. Alternatively, after telling them one time, feel free to hang up. If they call again, start keeping a log book of how many times each creditor calls you and provide that to your bankruptcy attorney since it may be used as ammunition against the creditor if the creditors are actually harassing you.

Best of Luck.
